Without going into the gory specific details of the manner in which I allowed myself to be led like a helpless lamb to the slaughter on several occasions, let me attempt to give you some thoughts to beware as you contemplate entering into any one of these work from home businesses.

If you're already with a business, and you want to switch to another work from home business, I wouldn't give up that so easily that you have worked so hard on to acheive whatever level you may have got to.  I did this, and it's really hurt me due to the fact that, I am still getting numerous calls for the products from the previous home business that I had, and I beat myself up over the fact that's money that I could have had coming in to help little Corey to get out of that abusive environment that he's so criminally been imprisoned in all because I allowed myself to be led without thoroughly thinking it through for myself.   Take time to make that transition, to be sure that the new company is what you really want to do, and that there's not pluses to both companies that would warrant you continuing to provide both to your customers.

Start out at the lowest level and work up to where the big shots are.  I made the mistake, again, of trying to start out at the top, almost went into complete bankruptcy, homelessness, and without any of those wonderful material things we all so convince ourselves that we must have because I wanted to be rich just like the top dogs and give my family a better life not to mention get Corey home again as fast as possible.  By starting at the bottom, you can become better acquainted with the upper levels, what it takes to acheive those upper levels, and what you can and can't afford to spend.  Most importantly, make yourself a business monthly budget, and stick to it despite your enthusiasm to surge ahead thinking you'll make it up in sales later!  You won't!

Tell your successes to others only when such successes are felt to be just that by you and not because someone else is urging you to scream them out to others.  It has to be a success in your book, something you're excited about, and definately something that you beleive to be real and legitimate.

Don't depend on your mentor to boost your enthusiasm, you have to do that yourself.  As long as you're selling big, they will be your best buddies, but the minute you drop, either in a downward tail spin or develop a lesser pattern, you'll be lucky if you ever hear from them again.  Don't get me wrong, your mentor will help you if you have problems, need some advice, need brain storming input, and help you get over hurdles, but if you're not producing, it's hard to get hugs from above in the work from home business.  You're in business for yourself, but not by yourself, your mentors will always help you.  You have to be your own morale coach though, maintain your own enthusiasm, passion, and excitement, pat yourself on the back when you do good, and reflect on the situation when you don't have such a good day!

There's nothing so exciting, I don't think, as the thought of, "Firing your boss," how many of you would love to do that?  There's nothing that would feel so good as to say, "Ah, I'm not going to work today," but then you still make a paycheck from, "Your team," nothing would feel so good as to not have to ask for time off from work to go to your children's recital at school, take off and go to the beach for a weekend or a week, or just sit beside the fire with your significant other knowing you won't get reprimanded for taking that time or, even worse, fired!  Then there's the income.  Every drop of sweat and tears that you put into your business is purely for you and your family, not for someone else to reap the benefits of your efforts to your exclusion.  The harder you work the more you stand to make, and it's all for yourself and a better life for your family.  Then there's the tax breaks, and, let's face it, hands up all those who like paying taxes!?  Ah, that's what I thought, no one!  Uncle Sam gives great tax breaks to those who are merely trying to be in business for themselves.  The tax benefits, even if you sell something or not, for the average stay at home business person, could be as much as $300-$400 a week!  It all depends on what you can qualify for, and if you get a good accountant at the end of the year, he will help you with that.  You'd be suprised all that you can write off!  Herbalife has some good products, I especially love their weight loss shakes.  For those who don't like to take pills though, which I am one of those people, Biometics provides good tasting liquid and naturalized products to provide you with all your body needs to help it heal itself.  The only thing about working from home is, you have to beleive in yourself, write your goals down so that they become self fulfilling prophecies, and repeat them to yourself everyday to enhance their becoming a reality.  You can do it, you know you can?  Eye of the tiger and all that good stuff!  I would love to show you what I have learned through all my trials and tribulations, and help you try to acheive your financial goals while I work on my own also.  So,
